So we were like, 90% acclimated to the time change by our second day. We were wide awake at 4am so we were out the door by 6am this time. The previous day it seemed like a lot more people were waiting to get in to DisneySea than Disneyland, so we figured some extra time couldn’t hurt. We saved some of our snacks from Disneyland to have for breakfast and picked up drinks from the vending machine at the monorail station.

We rode the monorail in and ended up pretty close to the ticket turnstiles despite everyone running down the monorail station steps to get in line.

However, none of that insanity compared to the stampede of people at 8am at park open rushing to get fastpasses for Toy Story Midway Mania. Never in my life have I experienced something like that. The entire crowd seemed to move as one blob! You just got shoved along until suddenly you were at the front of the line. And although it was complete insanity and there was absolutely zero personal space, there was no fighting or yelling or disrespect of any kind. No one cut in on any lines or got aggressive. It was just a bazillion people all trying to do the same thing.

Anyway, after that craziness we decided to go for a gondola ride! We floated under a make-a-wish bridge and got sung to in Italian by our gondolier. It was so amazing! And it gave us a second to catch our breath and enjoy the amazing theming and architecture at DisneySea. It’s absolutely breathtaking! The entire day I just kept wishing I had a wedding couple to photograph there.

We made our way to Mystery Island and rode 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. I really loved how they made you feel like you were actually underwater in a submarine! And the props in the queue line were incredible!

Next we waited in line for Aquatopia, our first trackless ride ever. That part was cool, but it wasn’t exactly the most thrilling ride we’ve ever been on. We caught a few minutes of the Easter show out in the harbor on our way to lunch.

We decided to splurge and went to Restaurant Sakura in the American Waterfront area.

We made it just in time to get fast passes for Nemo and Friends before going standby for the first showing of the day of Big Band Beat. The show was so adorable! It was like a jazz, big band review. The singers and the jazz band were really talented My favorite part was seeing Minnie in a flapper dress and fishnets! It was a little strange to see something that had Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Daisy but no Donald. Unfortunately you couldn’t take pictures or video during the show.

We bought some of the green alien dumplings (the strawberry filling was the yummiest) and walked past Tower of Terror before riding Toy Story Mania.

The actual pull chain on the ride was faster and more responsive but otherwise it was exactly the same as the ride in Hollywood Studios in Orlando. We knew it would be the same, but we just wanted to be a part of the craziness anyway. Next we went to do the Leonardo Challenge at the Fortress of Explorations. The map and instructions were only in Japanese and we were fighting against 30mph wind gusts which were particularly bad up on the fortress. We couldn’t hold the map still enough in the wind to use Google Translate and we didn’t want the map to rip in the wind so we pretty much gave up on the challenge and just walked around. I loved the Chamber of Planets!

We walked down to Magellan’ Lounge for a cafe affogato and a melon soda. It was pretty cool in there. The cast members in this area really loved our S.E.A. shirts.

After our snack we went to redeem our fastpasses for Nemo and Friends Searider which I think was my favorite of the day. The ride is similar to Star Tours (but isn’t in 3D) with splashes. You are sitting in a fish-shaped sub that is shrunken down so you can conduct research. You swim around with Nemo, Dory, Mr. Ray, etc, get into some trouble, meet the cutest otters and then get picked up by a bird who delivers you back to the marine institute. It was SO STINKING CUTE!

We were running low on time so we had to just walk through the Lost River Delta area on our way to Arabian Coast. It was all so beautiful!

We rode Sinbad’s Storybook Voyage (which had some pretty impressive animatronics), played the carnival game at Abu’s Bazaar (lost but got Chip & Dale Easter pins as a consolation prize), then went to the show at the Magic Lamp Theatre. Ive never seen another combo live action/3D show before but it was really cool! And fun to see the Genie in action again, even if it was in Japanese. We walked through Mermaid Lagoon just to take a peek before heading to the DisneySea Electric Railway.

We grabbed a fried pizza turnover to snack on – delish! Next was dinner at the Cape Cod Cook-Off (just burgers and fries) and then some shopping to end the night. We left the park around 8pm, tired, sore and freezing but super happy with what we got to do! Both nights we were at Tokyo Disney Resort, the winds were too high to accommodate the fireworks show, so that’s one thing we were hoping to see that we never got a chance to do.
